A young couple who owned this beautiful 198 m² bourgeois apartment in central Nice wanted to divide it into two. On the one hand, a large three-room apartment with a completely open living area and a beautiful wine cellar as the highlight, a master bedroom with a large dressing room, bathroom, steam room, and gym. On the other hand (with the possibility of reuniting them one day), a spacious two-room apartment to welcome friends and family in complete independence.
I had the opportunity to renovate this villa designed by and for one of the greatest architects the region has ever known, Henri Leng.
We have, of course, kept the layout of the rooms, except for the master bedroom, where we have created two bathrooms and a dressing room.
For the rest of the renovation, we focused on restoring and installing building preservation systems—replacing exterior door and window frames, addressing multiple waterproofing issues, renovating floors and walls, etc.
When the client first contacted me, he was looking for a pied-à-terre in the port district of Nice for himself and his family.
After two days of searching, he called me back to tell me he had found the perfect place! The client, an Australian living in Singapore, was passionate about interior design and already had solid experience in renovation and interior design, but he needed someone he could trust to see his project through while he was on the other side of the world. We hit it off right away, and so we set off on this wonderful adventure.
The project did not involve any major structural changes, but everything had to be redone from floor to ceiling. The old flooring was completely removed and replaced with herringbone parquet. We put a lot of work into the colors, particularly for all the custom-made furniture designed for each room in this apartment.
This beautiful villa, built in the 1950s, is perched on a rock overlooking the bay of Villefranche-Sur-Mer.
Over time, the house has undergone several extensions and alterations, not all of which have been entirely successful. That is why the clients wanted to harmonize all the spaces and make the house more pleasant to live in. To improve thermal comfort, all the exterior window frames have been replaced with double glazing in accordance with urban planning recommendations. Thermal performance will also be improved by interior insulation and lime rendering of the facades.
As the clients are true aesthetes, we conducted an extensive study of the interior design (custom-made furniture, vaulted corridors entirely clad in walnut, custom-made doors, etc.) to reinforce the villa's unique and exceptional character.
Another great collaboration with clients who were abroad during the project design and construction phase.
They placed their complete trust in us and gave us carte blanche for this high-end project located in Cannes.
The specifications were simply to design a refined project that was also relaxed and comfortable for the family.
This beautiful villa from the 1970s is located in Vieux Cannet. After obtaining approval from the Architecte des Bâtiments de France, we were able to renovate the façade, changing the color of the walls, window frames, and shutters.
Inside, we combined the two apartments into one villa with a large open space on the ground floor featuring a living room and dining room separated by a minimalist bioethanol fireplace made of black Zimbabwean stone.
On the garden level are the bedrooms and their respective bathrooms and dressing rooms, two offices, and a laundry room. All the closets and bathroom furniture were designed and supplied by the PFID studio.
We transformed this apartment with a garden, ideally located in Cannes, into an elegant and bright pied-à-terre, placing essential values at the heart of our approach: quality, attentiveness, and respect for the environment. The apartment was in its original condition and the garden, although promising, was completely neglected. We optimized every space: creating a custom-made headboard closet with plenty of storage, opening up the kitchen to the living room to maximize light and conviviality. Outside, we redesigned the central driveway and added a step to delineate a separate dining area. The environmentally friendly landscaping was enhanced by the addition of spot lighting and carefully selected Mediterranean plants, making the garden welcoming and conducive to relaxation.
A couple wanted to renovate an apartment to suit their lifestyle. The space needed to feel fluid and open. The client wanted a semi-open kitchen that didn't look like a kitchen at all.
The specifications also called for a large dressing room, two shower rooms (one for the lady of the house and one for the gentleman), and above all, an architectural and decorative design that would incorporate the owners' numerous works of art.

The cost per square meter in the city center is increasing, so instead of moving, this family decided to stay where they are and optimize the 78 m² of their apartment. We therefore opened up the living areas and took advantage of the two windows in one bedroom to create two "cabin" bedrooms for the two boys in the family. This way, everyone has their own space and can get together in the light-filled common areas.
A beautiful, typically Provençal villa needed a little facelift. The terrace needed to be completely redesigned, as did the master bedroom. We replaced the windows with double glazing and opted for anthracite black for the window frames and shutters to give a more contemporary look. The window in the master bedroom was replaced with a French window to let in more light and to balance the façade and make it more harmonious.
For the terrace floor, we chose Burgundy stone. The bedroom, meanwhile, has a contemporary and timeless look.
At the request of a young couple, this beautiful bourgeois apartment in central Nice was divided into two.
On one side, a large three-room apartment and on the other (with the possibility of combining them one day), a spacious two-room apartment for entertaining friends and family in complete independence.
